bin zwar nie geflogen, aber die neuen Sicherheitsbestimmungen an den Flughäfen
machen es bestimmt nicht leichter.

Ich würde als erstes mir diese Bestimmungen
genau durchlesen, besonders in Bezug auf Medikamente und Medizinprodukte.

Dann eine Bescheinigung vom Diabetologen
holen, in der genau aufgeschrieben ist, was Du alles benötigst. Am besten eine Vorgschrieben

Ich hatte noch nie Schwierigkeiten. Ich nehme immer eine ärztliche Bestätigung für Pumpe und Medikamente etc. mit, habe sie aber noch nie gebraucht. Beim Checken von Handgepäck nehme ich die Pumpe immer ab und lege sie wie ein Telefon auf das Kontrollband. Das gibt am wenigsten Diskussionen. Sämtliche "Diabetikerutensilien" habe ich immer im Handgepäck (auch eine Spritze). Auch das hat noch nie zu Schwierigkeiten geführt. von Emil Ramsauer

Deine Bemerkung, hatte noch nie probleme ist eine Frage von wie oft ond wohin fliegt mann.

Ich fliege International in und ausserhalb Europe.

Und habe gelegentlich extra Kontrollen die ziemlich Engmassig sind. Ab und zu auch mal Diskussionen.

In USA wird seit 2 Monate auf den Bordingkarte ad random Sonder Inspektion gedruckt durch den Komputer. Dass heisst 3 von 50 wirden für sonder Kontrolle ausgewählt, hat man dann wass nicht 100% in ordnung wird es Ohne wenn und Aber weggenommen.

Dieses verfahren kommt demnächst auch noch in England.

Zu deiner Info ich habe dieses Jahr 240.000 Flugmeilen geschafft.

Ich wurde es nicht auf Zufall ankommen lassen und vorsorgen. Einmahl Aerger reicht.

IMPORTANT AIRLINE INFORMATION FOR PUMPERS

Due to recent events regarding airport security, it is important that you are prepared for airline travel. In order to be properly prepared, please review these important points prior to air travel. If you wear an insulin pump, contact your healthcare professional for specific information.



It is recommended that you wear your medical ID bracelet or necklace.
Any medications, including insulin, must be in original packaging with Rx label affixed to pill bottle or insulin box.
Travelers may now carry through security checkpoints travel-size toiletries (3 ounces or less) that fit in one quart-size, clear plastic, zip-top bag.
Larger amounts of prescription liquid medications and diabetic glucose supplies must be declared at the checkpoint for additional screening.

Notify the security screener that you have diabetes and are carrying supplies with you. Show them your infusion set and tubing. Instruct them that this is a life sustaining device that is connected to your body and cannot be removed.

Before you go to the airport:

You are permitted by law to wear your insulin pump on the plane, but you should visit the TSA website for the most up to date information: www.tsa.gov or http://www.tsa.gov/assets/pdf/Permitted_Prohibited_NEW.pdf. We recommend that you print a copy of this page and carry it with you to the airport should there be any questions upon your arrival.


Anticipate delays and carry enough supplies and other oral medications to cover several hours/days in addition to your regular travel time. Be sure to have access to all your necessary supplies:
• Rapid acting insulin (Novolog™, Humalog™, and Apidra™,)
• Long-acting insulin (Lantus/glargine, Lente®, NPH, Levemir®/detemir)
• Syringes
• Glucose testing equipment - Increase frequency of BG checks during flight
• Ketone testing equipment
• Non-liquid low BG treatment (i.e., glucose tabs, SweetTarts® and Skittles®)
• Snacks
Be certain to get a "time-off" pump guideline from your healthcare professional if you are planning to disconnect your pump for a period of time.

At the airport:
As noted above, you can wear your insulin pump on the plane. However, most insulin pump manufacturers recommend that you do not expose your pump to x-ray equipment. Request a “walk through” or hand wand inspection.

Please contact your insulin pump manufacturer or refer to your pump user guide for any additional information.

Bescheinigung für deine Medikamente und Hilfsmittel im Handgepäck auf jeden Fall vom Diabetologen einholen!
Feel free.de hat eine gute Auslandskrankenversicherung, die diabetesche Problemfälle mit einbezieht (macht noch lang nicht jede Auslandskrankenversicherung!!)
Dein Pumpenhersteller sollte zu diesem Thema auch was sagen können, von wg Ersatz und Hilfsmittel.
Mach Dir eine Liste von Fragen wg deinem DM, die dich beschäftigen, und kläre die mit Diabetologe, Krankenkasse und Pumpenhersteller.
